What To Expect

Coron Town is not only the gateway to many islands and beaches, it also offers the visitor several attractions nearby. A tour is offered every afternoon. You will visit all main attractions on this Coron Town Tour.

You will explore the town center, Lualhati Park, Maquinit Hot Springs, Mt. Tapyas, St. Augustine Church and a cashew nut factory.

Mt. Tapyas is one of the highest hills around Coron Town. Mt. Tapyas is 210 meter high and can be seen everywhere from the town. The locals use this hill as a navigation point to roam around the town. On this tour, you will climb up about 700 steps to reach the top of the hill. On top, a viewing platform awaits you with stunning panoramic views of Coron Bay with its islands and Coron Town.

The Lualhati Park is located on reclaimed land nearby the pier of Coron Town. This huge square offers a good view of the little town, Coron Island and the pier, where you can see local fishing boats going out and coming into Coron Town. Nearby Lualhati Park, a Zipline was built a couple of years ago. If you like the thrill, you might want to take a ride on the Zipline.

The famous Maquinit Hot Springs are located 20 minutes from the town center. The hot springs consists of four different pools, a main pool, two side pools and a pool for small children. The water is pleasantly warm and provides the right relaxation after a busy day or a hike to the highest point of Coron Town. Enjoy the beautiful view of Bay of Coron and its islands while making yourself comfortable in the hot spring.

You will visit a small cashew nut factory on the way from Coron Town to Maquinit Hot Springs.

Later, you will visit St. Augustine Church, located in the heart of Coron Town. The church was built in 1901 and is the strategic center of the city. Your guide will tell you more about the history of St. Augustine. After your visit to St. Augustine Church, you will have some time to shop for souvenirs before heading back to your hotel.
